Carr & Ferrell at CTIA Enterprise and Applications 2011
CTIA Day 1, San Diego CA -- We’re in San Diego this week for CTIA Enterprise & Applications and what a day it has been! The show is off to a good start with exhibitors showing their latest innovations in the mobile tech space.
To our left, we are across from the popular CTIA Hot for the Holidays Showcase where all the must-have mobile devices are on display as gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season.
Also in the same pavilion, is the Mobile Platform Challenge: Speed Geeking. Take, if you will, speed dating, make it a little more techy, and there you have it! Judges rotate to meet with each finalist for just a short period of time to determine their favorite mobile consumer good. By the end of the challenge, the finalist who has the most votes (in this case, coins) wins. It may not be your typical love connection, but a win can do wonders for these competitors. (And the exposure isn’t too bad either.)
There are several other areas and opportunities for small and large companies alike to make an impact as well. CTIA has a pavilion dedicated to mobile apps, huge island booths for industry giants, and a retail location for those selling accessories and other wireless items.
We’ve already had the chance to speak with a great number of inventors, entrepreneurs, and company heads today. Many had questions about the new patent laws and others were simply looking for a good IP attorney. It's a good thing we're here! As we get ready for day 2, we look forward to meeting with many more attendees and exhibitors on our quest to helping them build and protect their patent portfolios.
If you’re in the area, be sure to visit us in booth #228. We hope to see you soon!
Inventors attending CES may bring notes and a drawing of their invention to booth 70555 to be eligible for a free patent application.
The firm’s new website will feature an enhanced resource center, responsive design, and a clean, modern look.
Members of the Security and Surveillance panel will explore the issues facing brand owners in the wake of recent data breaches at large trusted retailers, and in the light of disturbing revelations about government surveillance and back-door access to customer data.
The multiple patents for Wide Area Networks continue to expand Silver Peak's IP portfolio and their commitment to innovation.
