Carr & Ferrell LLP hosted the Wharton Club of Northern California in a special discussion featuring Bob Phillips, founder and Chief Science Officer of Nomis Solutions. Nomis Solutions is a company that provides pricing and revenue optimization solutions to the financial services industry. This discussion provided an overview of the techniques of pricing and revenue optimization, practical approachs in different industries and showed how understanding pricing, incremental profitability, and price-elasticity can materially drive business improvement.
Pricing and revenue optimization and yield management have grown out of operations research and management science, and is being applied across a wide range of industries including retail, financial services, health care, business-to-business selling, and Internet sales. The ideas of pricing and revenue optimization can be used to generate more profit as well as provide valuable strategic insights into customer behavior.
