About Andy Rachleff
Andy served as a Benchmark general partner from 1995 until 2004. Since the raising of Benchmark’s latest US fund, he has reduced his role to focusing on his existing portfolio companies and no longer evaluates new investments. With his free time, Andy serves as a lecturer in entrepreneurship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also serves as a member of the board of trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and as an overseer for its School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Prior to his ten years as a general partner at Benchmark Capital, Andy spent ten years as a general partner with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre (MPAE). Before joining MPAE, Andy held a variety of positions in the investment industry, working as an associate at Harvest Ventures; as a portfolio manager at Lamoreaux, Glynn & Associates; and as a financial analyst at Blyth Eastman Paine Webber.
