The status of a semiconductor company’s IP is among the most important inquiries VCs can make in deciding whether to invest in the company; however IP due diligence remains one of the least understood parts of investing in semiconductor companies.
VC Taskforce sponsored an event in which a panel of leading industry experts, including Carr & Ferrell Partner, John Ferrell, presented practical approaches toward semiconductor IP due diligence. The mixed panel of presenters addressed a range of issues including: what to be aware of in semiconductor IP due diligence, what resources to devote to IP due diligence, as well as trends and developments in the semiconductor industry.
