Bruce is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Carr & Ferrell LLP. Bruce represents clients in intellectual property law matters including preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, strategic intellectual property planning, and patent portfolio management for clients ranging from startups to leading multi-national corporations.
Bruce specializes in matters across a wide spectrum of technical disciplines in the electronic, software, and mechanical arts, including microprocessor architecture, programmable logic devices, volatile and non-volatile memories, power semiconductor devices, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, integrated circuit packaging, digital signal processing, Internet- and other network-based technologies, wireless communications, medical devices, fluid sensors, energy storage, electronic design automation, electronic payment systems, machine translation, and video games, among others.
Prior to joining Carr & Ferrell, Bruce practiced intellectual property law at two multi-national law firms, and served as Intellectual Property Counsel at clean technology startup Deeya Energy, Inc. Prior to practicing law, Bruce enjoyed a career as an electrical engineer in the semiconductor industry at Xilinx, Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD).
