Mr. Prettyman is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Carr & Ferrell. Mr. Prettyman's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and technical advising related to intellectual property. Mr. Prettyman's patent practice has covered a wide variety of technology including electronic storage media, embedded marks and the mechanical arts.
Prior to joining Carr & Ferrell, Mr. Prettyman enjoyed an extensive technical career as an engineer in the design, development and testing of nitinol-based devices, medical devices, consumer products, and in nuclear power generation and applications. Mr. Prettyman was also a business manager and a Certified Quality Engineer and has familiarity with statistical analysis, consumer surveys, quality standard certifications and business practices. Before college, Mr. Prettyman was a Navy Corpsman and Medical Technician and is familiar with various diagnostic and treatment devices.
