Michael is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Carr & Ferrell LLP. Michael specializes in intellectual property law matters including the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications, strategic intellectual property planning and patent portfolio management for both established and start-up clients.
Michael has experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, the analysis of patent invalidity and infringement issues, and counseling clients through a wide range of technologies. His experience also includes representing clients in intellectual property and business litigation in federal courts, including patent cases involving infringement, infringement defense, and correction of inventorship.
Prior to joining Carr & Ferrell, Michael worked for two Bay Area law firms, as well as for the United States Attorney’s Office.
When Michael is not at the office obtaining, defending or enforcing his clients’ intellectual property rights, he can be found at home spending time with his wife and chasing his son, at the golf course trying to lower his handicap, or online reading about the latest developments in Physics.
